At Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust, we are deeply committed to safeguarding Africa’s rich biodiversity by taking a stand against wildlife crime. Poaching, illegal trafficking, and other wildlife-related offenses threaten not only the survival of endangered species but also the health of ecosystems and the wellbeing of local communities. Our comprehensive approach to countering wildlife crime includes cutting-edge forensics, on-the-ground investigations, and robust partnerships with law enforcement agencies.
By leveraging our state-of-the-art Wildlife Forensics Laboratory, we are able to conduct detailed analyses that aid in the identification of poached animals, linking perpetrators to crimes and strengthening the legal cases against them. Our dedicated team of experts also supports Wildlife Crime Scene Investigations, offering essential field support to ensure that every piece of evidence is meticulously gathered and preserved.
By linking these elements, we aim to create a safer environment for Africa’s wildlife and foster a culture of conservation and respect for nature.
Our anti-poaching efforts have yielded significant results. We’ve removed countless snares, dismantled illegal wildlife trafficking networks, and rescued numerous animals from the brink of death.
Through collaborative patrols and strategic partnerships with local communities and law enforcement, we’ve drastically reduced poaching incidents in key areas. Our initiatives have not only protected endangered species but also fostered greater awareness and involvement in conservation efforts, ensuring a safer environment for wildlife to thrive.
